What a kick - the ability to metamorphose at will from average Jane to supermodel or video slut with the assistance of some Sebastian Shpritz-Forte and colors like finger paints (both for hair and face)! Thank God this trend is coming back! If I have to see one more earth tone I think I'll have to choke myself. It's dirt, people!
...All tossed together for texture more than appearence. Club Kids were like walking works of art - and they didn't need needles to do any of it! They were groomed to within an inch of their lives and the results were ideallic! "Nightlife" really was a different experience. Have you been out clubbing lately? Did these people have to do laundry today or something? When was the last time "going out" meant anything other than a shower and fresh shirt - and sometimes I doubt even that. let's face it, the slackers that followed my generation look to be in need of some spare change. No wonder the straight scene is boring and the Rubber scene is booming. Hey, some of us care. That creativity has to squeeze out somewhere.
I confess, I have a fondness for pleather. Especially the shiny patent kind. It's probably the only thing that saves me from looking like a really old Madonna wannabe. If you consider for a minute, the rules are very similar...
